Healthy soils nourish.

We depend on healthy soils and ecosystems for our own survival and the survival of the planet.

Modern agriculture adversely affects the health of soils, biodiversity and water quality. The agricultural sector is a major contributor of greenhouse gas emissions and is itself affected by climate change through rising temperatures, more erratic and extreme weather events.

“You are what you eat” - often we don’t even know what we put in our mouths anymore. Processed food, use of pesticides and herbicides all contribute to unhealthy diets jeopardizing our own health on top of the health of the ecosystems that we depend on.

We believe in healthy soils and healthy food.

On our 1.5ha of land, we slowly develop a community garden growing vegetables, herbs, berries and fruits following agroecological and permaculture principles. We experiment with no-dig beds, rainwater collection systems, composting and insect friendly cultivation methods. We are not dogmatic (apart from a few essentials like no pesticides and heavy machinery) and learn along the way.
